Why Photography?
We have always enjoyed snapping candid moments of our family, friends and adventures as well as landscapes and random wildlife. Our interest in professional photography started during our wedding. We were blown away with how our photographer took our simple, cold, foggy, rainy day and produced the most elegant and enchanting photos. Our experience with her was fantastic and we hope to create similar experiences for our clients.
Who are we?
Craig and I grew up in beautiful British Columbia. We both went away for awhile and returned to BC to be closer to our families. We met a few years later and its been a whirlwind ever since. Our greatest joy is watching our beautiful daughter grow into a feisty young lady and experience new adventures, places, food and cultures. We love to travel - included in our gallery is places like Alberta, the Oregon Coast and Maui. We also like our sports including hunting, shooting, kiteboarding and skiing as well as spending time outdoors and with family.
What else do we do?
We have both worn a few different professional hats over the years. Including law enforcement and health care as well as a few small businesses including handy man, Isagenix and Mary Kay. If I had to pick something, I would say, stay-at-home parent is our favorite "job." Well, that, and photography ;).
WhY POP?
The name came to us rather organically. Its a combination of a few things in our world and the natural vibrance or "pop" we like in our photography. We are primarily natural light photographers who shoot many kinds of photography. But don't worry, we will flash you if necessary ;).
What do we shoot?
We shoot mostly people - anything from individual portraits (personal or professional) and families to engagement (or couples) and weddings. We also enjoy shooting the furry parts of families... although I guess we would shoot the scaly ones too? We enjoy making the experience comfortable and fun. We like color and creativity, but most of all we like to capture the real you - those candid unguarded moments that make these memories of this moment in time truly wonderful.
